Labor Looks

The big day is almost here for us! Just 7 weeks left until my due date and things seem to be falling into place. After attending a birthing class or two, I feel mostly prepared and ready for D-day! (Delivery Day, that is) Although I have my hospital bag ready, I have been thinking how nice it would be to have a nice delivery gown to add to my stuff. Something comfortable to put on during this somewhat uncomfortable experience.....

There are quite a few options out there now as far as style and function. Many of which the hospitals and birthing centers are completely okay with. Labor Looks is one of my favorite companies that provide hospital approved gowns. I've been shopping around and although there are a few on Etsy or the Gownies --- I am excited to have a chance to win one of my choice through LABOR LOOKS!

Joovy Hook High Chair

We've been on the hunt for the ideal high chair, and just can't quite make up our minds about which kind and brand are going to work best. For some people, it's the "attach to a chair" and "buckle in" kind with dishwashable tray. But we have been searching for one that hooks directly to our table to save chair space.
I think we found a winner......

Before you know it, my husband and I will have a little man walking around the house! Just 8 more weeks until he is due to join our family and I am getting all the last minute items we will be needing. We figure that he won't need shoes for a while, but I can't help but look for some --- they are just so adorable!

Sassyfras Designz

 Now that the weather has started to brighten up and Spring is in the air, I ask my husband nearly every morning.... "Is it Easter yet?" I get REALLY excited about the holidays and Easter was as big as Christmas at my house growing up. So when I caught a glimpse of some hand-painted Easter buckets by Sassyfras Designz  over at Houghton Happenings I hopped right over to the shop for my browsing delight!

I think the fluffy features on this bunny are just AWESOME and he makes me feel happy inside. In the Sassyfras Designz Shop there are lots of cute animals to choose from --- a lamb, birdies, frogs, gators, or even monkeys! The artist even does custom work like name personalization:

 There are many other WONDERFUL items to look at over at Sassyfras Designz ---- Wall art, growth charts, step stools, banners, frames... and all beautifully hand painted. They all have that "look" - you'll see what I mean.

Introducing the GUMDROP pacifier from The First Years! To be honest... I just like the name. Whoever came up with that one is Genius. But besides that I am impressed by a lot of the features it has. My Baby Clothes

I'm on the prowl looking for cute baby boy clothes, and came upon a $25 giveaway to My Baby Clothes! I then proceeded to spend over an hour browsing the online store and fell in love with SEVERAL items. Here are my favorites:

First, this pilot two piece layette set.  Something my husband and I both agree on is dressing boys like little men. None of the froofy stuff for our boys ---- just manly stuff. LOVE this set.

Here is another one, and at such a great price. A coat and khaki pant set that makes little boys into real gentleman:

Last but not least this simple little orange body suit trimmed with brown. Just stands out to me, that's all.

And if you are looking for girl stuff, you should DEFINITELY go browse the website. Especially for cute Valentines Day stuff that is marked down and super adorable.

Imomzi

I found another crochet master over at IMOMZI on Etsy. Lots of awesome hat variations, and photo accessories! I am giddy :)

I am obviously picking out  the little boy ones, because I am kind of partial that way. But you should really go check out the girl stuff. It is (dare I say) even CUTER that the boy stuff.

I think what really stands out to me about this shop is the color combination she uses - I love the vibrant contrast in each design. And she has so many variations of style. cute cute, oh so cute.

Crocodile Crunch

A shop overflowing with adorable boutique items! Mostly for little girls mind you, but I did find a few things for my little man!

 I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win $20 GC to use at Crocodile Crunch so I can buy this blue elephant fabric box!

Another item I have my eye on is the ties and tie onesies - I am impressed that I can ask for different fabric and she is happy to custom make these!

What to Expect

I am at 19 weeks in my pregnancy (almost half way!) and sometimes I feel so lost as to what is going on with my crazy changing body. Not to mention how the development of my baby is coming along and what I can do to positively influence these changes.

Well, I have several friends who have suggested the book "What to Expect when you're Expecting." I've thumbed through it a few times and wished I had my own copy.I've been thinking about buying it, but kind of feel like it's too late now that I am already in my second trimester.

Well, here is my chance! There is a giveaway for not only this book, but the trio of  "What to Expect" books.Perfect!

Oshi mat

Well, as most of you know, I am expecting in May! And so, I have been browsing the wide world of baby gear! There is always a dilemma about what things are absolutely necessary, what things would be useful, and what things are just plain for the fun of it.

I think this Oshi Mat kind of falls somewhere between useful, and..... SO MUCH FUN!

With just a few great patterns to choose from, I like the simplicity of picking out one of these mats. So many of the baby things I am in the market for require so much research. hahaha.

YEEEES! Discovered another Shabby Apple Dress Giveaway!

I've been watching Shabby Apple for a while now and compiling a never-ending wish list. There are just so many cute styles. I have put together my dream outfits for every occasion, and for every mood! Of course I am not a millionaire so I have pick and choose - but their prices really aren't bad for what you get, and I wanted to spread the word!
 Now that I am expecting I have been browsing their cute maternity section and have replaced the above wish list item with the new "baby bump" version:

Another great place to find baby footwear - you know I can't resist! This time it is slippers from Bepe Baby.That's not all they make, so if you are looking for other baby accessories, be sure to go browsing at their website! Or find them on Facebook, where I found even more style options!

I know summer is over for now, but I love the bright colors all year round.

With a no slip grip, and a soft white fabric, these boots are a definite favorite!

Simple and striped - how can you go wrong? They look so warm and cozy, don't they!?

uncommon goods

I have been having some fun browsing the uncommon goods website and have found some really cute stuff. If you are looking for a holiday gift, or something for yourself, you'll have to go take a look for yourself because I have been focused on the baby stuff ---

 Since my husband and I have waited a long time for the kid thing to happen, this would be fun to have for when we finally did have a little one :)

 I used to love that saying "i scream you scream we all scream for ice cream" and it is even funnier when you think about a baby screaming. cute shirt!

 Ever since the first time I saw these in an Etsy shop I have thought they were super funny and the perfect baby boy gift. Silly and practical at the same time - just a really great idea.

 I am always a sucker for baby shoes, and I have never seen any like these before. They look pretty comfy and would go with any outfit to give it a little pizzazz.

 Okay, and one thing that I looked at for myself, because it's just quirky:

 A belt that actually fastens like a seat belt. Ha!
